These projects provide medical care to the people of the district of Marrera (Nyanza Province)and surrounding villages. ETHLYN COWAN, Founder

Ethlyn Cowan is a registered nurse who volunteers many hours serving the less fortunate in the Caribbean and Africa. Her first mission trip was to Ghana West Africa, followed by trips to Haiti, Panama and Jamaica. She travelled to Kenya in 2009 to fulfill the requirement for her practicum while completing a Masters Degree in Global Health. During this trip she fell in love with the people and the culture. The needs of the orphans in the community and the lack of medical access to treatment weighed heavily on her heart. She decided to partner with thirty women in the community to build an orphanage for 60 children. In addition to constructing the orphanage, she organizes annual medical missions, providing much needed medical treatment to the children and families in the surrounding communities.

It is her belief that we all can make a difference one person at a time. She believes in carrying out the mandate in Matthew 25 verse 40, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me".
